Twist warp, poor web tracking, web breaks, wrinkles and baggy edges are frequently related to misaligned components. Misalignment can also contribute to other product defects such as loose and/or separated liners and unacceptable corrugation configurations. In severe cases improper alignment can result in excessive vibration and premature failure of bearings, bushings and other hardware.

The most effective way of inspecting and correcting misalignment in corrugating equipment is through the use of optical tooling. Even if your corrugator was precisely aligned at the time of installation, the inevitable movement and settling of buildings and equipment over the course of time will cause misalignment.
